The Canadian Renovation Funding Program is a non-profit advisory service that is supported mostly by the Canadian residential and commercial renovation industries.

Acting as an "information bridge" between Canadian lending institutions, the construction industry and individual homeowners, the Program's core mandate is designed to:

1- Identify and assist those home owners and home buyers who may experience difficulty in qualifying for conventional bank mortgage lending.

2- Act as an advisory resource to mortgage lenders, builders, renovators and related contracting companies to assist in the development of existing and new renovation mortgages along with related renovation loan products.

Since 1995, the Canadian Renovation Funding Program has been instrumental in the development of several renovation-based loans for major Canadian banks and other lending institutions.

Although the program does not directly arrange renovation loans or mortgages, it effectively "matches up" and recommends each client to a participating mortgage professional who is best-trained for the client's individual credit situation.

A More Specialized Industry...

Since 2002, the Canadian mortgage industry has undergone evolutionary changes that have permanently affected the way mortgages are obtained across the nation.

With dozens of "in-between" lenders opening their doors in competition with the 5 major banks, over 300 individual mortgage products have been recently introduced to the public.

With this new and wider variety of "customized"  mortgage lending, homeowners and potential home buyers have many more alternatives...

For this reason, most brokers have gained individual expertise in more specific types of credit circumstances, such as specializing in clients with
AAA+ credit, or those with extremely poor credit, or business-for-self, or recent bankrupts, or self-declared income, or new immigrants, etc.

Therefore, locating the right mortgage specialist is essential to finding the most suitable mortgage product for your own personal situation.
